It is back to school time and this month we are featuring a member who is celebrating their 30th first day of school. Located in the heart of Marietta, Susquehanna Waldorf School serves students from pre-school through class 8, as well as offering a parent/child class for younger children.
The Susquehanna Waldorf School is an independent school community rooted in the international movement and philosophy of Waldorf education. Waldorf curriculum offers students a rigorous classical education balanced with imagination and creativity. In five continents, over 900 independent schools, and 1,600 early childhood programs, children attending Waldorf schools are earning an education through the artistic process. The Susquehanna Waldorf School (SWS) follows suit by placing as much importance on music, art, drama, and movement as it does math, science, and language arts. Multiply this with daily hands-on experiences and SWS provides a rich and challenging environment that’s paying off.
MABA members and Marietta residents will be getting the chance to get to know the Susquehanna Waldorf School a little more personally over the next several months. On November 15th, SWS will host MABA’s Meet and Greet. The school will also be featured as a stop on the annual Candlelight Tour many of us enjoy participating in each year.
